Contributions Enhance Healthy Planet, Youth Movement, and Youth Nutrition Programs
CHANHASSEN, Minn. (Dec. 30, 2024) –The Life Time Foundation, the 501(c)(3) non-profit of Life Time (NYSE: LTH) dedicated to fostering a healthier planet and empowering healthy youth, distributed more than $1.5 million in grants to various organizations across the United States in 2024. These funds played a key role in supporting organizations that advance the Foundation's core initiatives: Healthy Planet, Youth Movement, and Youth Nutrition.

The Life Time Foundation supported the following initiatives, and more, in 2024:
Healthy Planet
- During the Life Time Miami Marathon and Half weekend, the Foundation collaborated with Clean Miami beach, bringing volunteers and funding efforts to clean up Nikki Beach.
- Provided a $1 million grant to American Forests to support restoration of the threatened whitebark pine in the western United States and its National Parks.
- Partnered with SUGi to plant a pop-up microforest in North Minneapolis, creating a natural space that will provide shade and a safe play area for the local community.
- Supported One Tree Planted’s initiative to reforest a western Oregon region devastated by wildfires in 2020 by committing to fund the planting of over 100,000 trees.
- Provided $40,000 to the City Parks Foundation in New York, funding the planting of over 75,000 trees, plants and bulbs in New York City Parks.
- In total, the Foundation funded the planting of more than 242,000 trees in 2024.
Youth Movement
- Miami-Dade County school students completed the Final Mile of their 15-week marathon program by crossing the Finish Line in downtown Miami. With the support of the Life Time Foundation, the Life Time Kids Run Miami youth running program was offered free of charge to all Miami-Dade County Middle School students.
- Supported youth cycling programs including the Youth Club of Trinidad’s Junior Bike Riders program, and NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association), helping under-represented young people learn and enjoy the life-long sport of cycling.
- Provided a $60,000 grant to support the continued growth of the City Parks Foundation’s Track and Field programming, offering over 1,200 kids opportunities to participate in free organized sports and a family adventure race.
- The Foundation provided more than $162,000 in support of nearly 20,000 kids engaging in safe, fun, enriching, and active initiatives in 2024.
Youth Nutrition
- Gave a grant for the Miami Food Forests for Schools program, which leverages gardens and FoodForests as outdoor learning laboratories in Miami-Dade County’s public elementary schools instilling in children the desire to grow and eat nutritious food while learning to care for the environment
- Provided nutrition curriculum to over 7,500 kids enrolled in the free City Parks Foundation programs in New York City.
- Announced enhancements to Green Onion, its free digital resource designed to help schools identify ingredients of concern in the foods they serve to students and suggest healthier alternatives.
Collaborative Fundraising Events
- Austin Head, a Life Time group fitness instructor based in New York, broke two world records in support of the Life Time Foundation. While completing the most lunges in one hour (2,852) and traveling the farthest distance by lunge in one hour (2.14 miles), he raised over $9,600 for the Life Time Foundation that was reinvested back into New York City communities through City Park Foundation programs.
- Through Ride of A Life Time, a fundraising workout event supporting the Life Time Foundation and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, more than 8,000 participants raised over $1 million for both causes.
- In September, the Life Time Foundation partnered with Augie’s Quest for GO90 Augie’s Quest, a 90-minute workout fundraiser benefitting both organizations and raising more than $200,000 for both organizations.
