Eric Buss

Eric Buss serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer for Life TimeSM, the nation’s premier healthy lifestyle brand. Since joining the company in September 1999, Buss has served as a key executive leader and catalyst in the company’s evolution with a goal of helping people achieve their health and wellness goals by delivering entertaining, educational, friendly and inviting, functional and innovative experiences with uncompromising quality and unparalleled service.

Buss holds responsibility for improving the company’s capital efficiency in partnership with the financial leadership team, along with oversight of business development and acquisitions, and accelerating new growth opportunities in the healthy way of life industry within which Life Time operates in a category of its own.

Buss also leads the company’s compliance function, including legal, risk management and various administrative functions in support of Life Time existing operations, which include high-end, multi-purpose health and wellness resorts and spas, as well as its current brand extension into comprehensive healthy way of life villages that are destined to change the way consumers live, work and play. In this area, Buss is supporting Life Time’s transformation of former mall anchor store spaces into the company’s large, healthy way of life athletic resort destinations as well as its launch of Life Time Work (an entirely new concept that is redefining the shared workspace industry) and Life Time Living (high-end, leased residences that provide the ultimate in comfort and convenience).

Prior to his current role, Buss served as Life Time’s chief financial officer with responsibility for the accounting, finance, internal audit, tax, corporate development, risk management and insurance functions. Before that, Buss held numerous key leadership functions, including General Counsel, and played a critical role in many significant transactions, including the Company’s 2004 initial public offering, new debt and equity financing, acquisitions, the development and implementation of legal and risk management initiatives, and comprehensive talent management and succession planning processes.

Earlier in his career, Buss was an associate with the law firm of Faegre & Benson LLP and, before that, a staff auditor at Arthur Andersen LLP.

Buss holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin, with a double major in Accounting and Finance. He also received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
