First 27,000-square-foot club opened in Brooklyn Park, Minn.

First 65,000-square-foot club built and opened in Eagan, Minn.
First LifeSpa opens, business evolves into full service salon with hair, nails, skin and massage services.
1998
Life Time launches Life Time Construction, its in-house construction company.
1999
First out of state club opens in Troy, Mich.
2000
Experience Life magazine debuts to engage members with content to inspire healthy living.
Life Time expands its offerings to include proprietary line of nutritional products and supplements.
2001
Life Time Athletic Events is created as a division of Life Time Fitness, Inc.
2003
Life Time launches a portfolio of health seminars, assessments and innovative partnerships with health insurance companies to build the Healthy Way of Life mission to corporate America.
2004
Life Time completes initial public offering with the New York Stock Exchange.
2006
Life Time assumes the operations of Northwest health clubs, expanding its reach in the Twin Cities.
2008
Expanded personal training approach to include both large and small group offerings.
2010
Life Time bolsters athletic event offerings with acquisitions of the Chicago Spring Half Marathon, Leadville Race Series and Chicago Turkey Trot.
Life Time Foundation launches its first partnership with Minnetonka Public Schools and Deephaven Elementary in Minnetonka, Minn. The Foundation has grown to serve more than 540 schools serving 310,000 students 44 million health meals in the 2018-2019 school year alone.

Life Time exceeds $1 billion in revenue.
2012
Life Time Kids expands child center services with the introduction of Kids Academy, a skills-based and robust offering for families with young children that includes tumbling, Spanish immersion, music, homework help and more.
Life Time opens its first international club in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
Life Time celebrates its 100^th grand opening with Life Time Atlanta in Sandy Springs, Ga.
Life Time’s LifeCafe introduces “If it’s Here It’s Healthy” menu featuring all-natural foods and products free of trans fats, bleached flours, artificial flavors, colors, preservatives and sweeteners.
2013
Life Time launches inaugural January 1 Commitment Day, a simultaneous nationwide 5K to encourage Americans to commit to a healthy way of life 365 days a year.

Life Time opens first California athletic resort in Laguna Niguel.
2015
Life Time announces completion of its acquisition by majority owners TPG and Leonard Green; returns to operation as a private company.

Life Time opens first club in Manhattan, Life Time at Sky.

Life Time Foundation provides $1 million grant to New York City Department of Education to accelerate efforts to increase fresh and simply prepared foods - free of seven highly processed ingredients.
Life Time launches Life Time Digital memberships – featuring customized personal workout programs; access to on-demand classes; award-winning nutrition, detox, and weight-loss content; and free Apple+ subscriptions via the Life Time app.
2021
Life Time pledges to further cut energy consumption and single-use plastic products in new 5-year sustainability goals. Plans include reductions in gas, electric and water consumption, and locally grown produce in every LifeCafe restaurant.
