Michael Burgess joined our company in 2016 as President of Sales and Marketing, and Chief Digital Officer. Previously, he served as President of Hudson Bay’s digital business and President of Saks Direct for Saks 5th Avenue from 2012-2015. From 2008-2012, Mr. Burgess served as Executive Vice President of FTD’s online consumer business and Chief Marketing Officer for FTD North America. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of E-Commerce for Teleflora from 2006-2008; President of Better Life Media from 2004 to 2005; Entrepreneur in Residence for Selby Partner Ventures from 2002-2004; Chief Executive Officer of ForRetail from 1999 to 2001; Director of Product Management for Crossworlds Software from 1998 to 1999; and, Assistant Product Manager for Quicken and Online Banking with Intuit from 1997-1998. Mr. Burgess launched his career at McKinsey & Company from 1994-1996. He holds Bachelor of Commerce and JD Commercial Law degrees from the University of New South Wales in Australia, and an MBA from Stanford University.
